Air Heaters like steam heated air heaters, hot oil and thermic fluid heated air heaters, hot water heated air heaters, air to air heat exchangers are designed and manufactured at TAAM engineering, India.
Air Heaters are designed based on the process data. Finned or fin tube air heaters are also designed and manufactured to fit in an existing system to replace old air heaters. This generally results in lower pressure drops and hence efficient use of hot air in the process followed.
We specialize in design and manufacture of Air - Air Heat Exchangers and Air Pre Heaters. These are commonly used to recover heat from gases. The cost of equipment can be recovered within few months for applications involving use of outgoing hot process air to preheat process air.
Use of root soldered wire wound fin tubes makes it possible to design much compact, economical air heater with low pressure drop.
We have special finning machines capable of manufacturing continuous Root Soldered finned tubes of any length. This gives us liberty to design air heaters with long tubes.
Base Tubes of Stainless Steels, Carbon Steels, Copper and Copper Alloys are finned with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Copper Fins.
Tube Wall temperatures up to 290 deg C are possible.
Production and Quality Assurance are under supervision of professional Mechanical Engineers. Every air heater or finned heat exchanger is subject to stage inspection and conforms relevant standards.

Air Heaters, Forced Draft Finned Type Heat Exchangers for Heating Air and GasesAir Heaters - Steam, Hot Water, Hot Oil, Thermic Fluid heated Air Heater, Air Pre heater.Heated air is required in industrial process equipments like dryers. For this purpose Air Heaters are used. The heating medium commonly used is Steam, Hot Water, Hot Oil, Thermic Fluid, Hot Air etc. Electrical Heating is expensive though electrical heaters have low initial cost. Finned Heat Exchangers have a higher initial cost than Electric Heaters but the operating cost is much lower and the pay back period is short. In most applications, the arrangement of pass partitions in the Air Heater makes it possible to optimize mass flow rate of the heating medium to provide optimum tube side heat transfer coefficient. However, the controlling film resistance is on the air or gas side. The use of tubes without finning results in very low film heat transfer coefficients thereby 'wasting' high heat transfer coefficient on the tube side resulting in a design that requires a large number of tubes and several rows of bare tubes. This results in high pressure losses. The fins create turbulence around the tube as well as between the fins. This reduces the air or gas side film resistance and increases the air or gas side heat transfer coefficient many fold. The resulting design is compact, economical, with low pressure drops. Steam Air Heaters, Steam Radiators, Steam CoilsThese are heat exchangers in which heating medium is steam being condensed while the other medium is a gas, more commonly air, being heated when forced through the finned heat exchanger. When the temperature of heated air desired is not high Steam Air Heater is a good choice. Steam Air Heaters can also be used for pre-heating air. Generally Steam Air Heaters use low-pressure steam, which is readily available. Steam Air Heaters using high pressure steam are not uncommon. Hot Oil Air Heaters, Thermic Fluid Air HeatersHot oil or thermic fluid heated air heaters are used when higher temperatures say over 160 deg C of heated air are required. These can and are being used to heat air to lower temperatures in the lower temperature range too. Hot water heated air heatersHot water - Air Heaters use hot water (with or without additives) under pressure as heating medium for heating gases to temperatures up to about 120 degree C. |
